Beaches of Positano

Laurito

Small and wild beach that takes its name from the laurel plants growing in this area. It can be reached on foot, through a long flight of stairs offering a truly idyllic view or with a boat service from Positano. Two restaurants on the beach cheer tourists with typical Neapolitan dishes.

Arienzo

The beach has a favorable position and it enjoys the sunlight until sunset. The beach is called also “trecento gradini” (three hundred steps), as this is exactly the number of steps to reach it. It offers private bathing establishments with bathing facilities and also a free beach. It can be reached by car from Positano, by bus or with a boat service.

Marina Grande

A huge and fascinating expanse with dark sand and pebbles, 300 meter long, surrounded by a great view and small perched houses and shops. It is a sought-after destination visited by many celebrities, offering medium-high level private bathing establishments and various restaurants. There is also a free beach. From the beach you can choose boats for excursions to Capri or to the Natural Reserve Punta Campanella.

Fornillo

Fornillo is one of the most characteristic and extensive beaches in Positano. Located between two historic towers, “Torre Trasita” and “Torre Clavel”, it can be reached through a pedestrian lane. There are private bathing establishments during the summer, a free beach and many cozy restaurants by the sea. It is also known for the ‘Sagra del Pesce’ (Fish Festival) with local seafood dishes.
