The emerald grotto offers one of the most fascinating diving the peninsula. Inside there are numerous stalactites and stalagmites that create columns as high as up to 10 meters. The shades of the colors of the sea vary in a modular way as you descend deep giving suggestive sensations. The light that filters acts as a "natural lighthouse" on the submerged crib, (artifact Vietri ceramics), which depicts the Nativity.
Sapphire grotto, located in area "B", has an area of over 40 meters, surrounded by stalagmites and stalactites that are combined in majestic columns. A wide opening, about 5 feet deep, leading into the cave. Because of its unique color scheme, everything that is inside is illuminated by a sapphire blue. The stunning scenery offers a underwater life characterized by cerianthus, shrimp, crabs, shellfish and Mediterranean cowries.
