Discover Sorrento an Amalfi Coast

The Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli dei)

The Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli dei)

The Path of the Gods is a path that winds between the two coastal Amalfi and Sorrento and divided into two routes. A "High" in the vicinity of the town of Bormerano, the other "Low" in the village of Nocella.

The name evokes the vision of mythological landscapes, because thanks to its position, at the foot of Mount St. Angelo a Tre Pizzi, you can admire one of the most beautiful views in the world and of undoubted value environmental and landscape: the western part of the Amalfi Coast from Praiano to Capri.

It is no coincidence that the English writer David Herbert Richards Lawrence has described this landscape of "the way of the enchantments," textual summary of the seductive charm of the landscapes, and the diversity and natural wealth.

The time needed to follow it is about 3 hours, if you choose to "venture" to discover Nocelle (a quaint village of Positano) and can only be reached through a very steep staircase, an alternative could be enough 2, 30 hours of walking.
The trail is accessible by buses that leave from Amalfi or drive along the SS 366.
