Piemme is a company in the sector that produces the liqueur Limoncello, the Baba and his specialties in the respect of local tradition and follows carefully and passionately all stages of the production chain, from cultivation, harvesting and lemon peel until infusion and bottling, which take place in the laboratory. Excellent also the production of confectionery specialties, based on the cultivation of a particular type of lemon, oval, medium-large, with a pale yellow flesh that is grown from Vico Equense to Massa Lubrense overlooking the sea in a land rich of volcanic elements, under the pergolas or "pagliarelle" (straw mats covering resting on support posts made of chestnut wood to protect the lemons from wind and low temperatures). These factors have meant that the Sorrento Lemon were awarded Protected Geographical Indication PGI Among the products marketed by Piemme: bottles of limoncello, limoncello biological, special bottles, various liqueurs, schnapps, Baba Sorrento and marmalades.
